Volquartsen 22LR Challenge

| May 9, 2020 | 3 Comments

Back out on the range today to shoot the Dayattherange.com 22LR challenge. While doing so I will compare the likeness of the Eley Semi Auto Benchrest Precision and the SK Semi Auto across the chronograph and on target.

Rifles:
Volquartsen 10/22 Snake Flute
CZ 455 Varmint

Got a little long winded and preachy today trying to explain how I conduct these and other test LOL.

If you had to make a guess before watching the video which would you chose?

Answer:

The original Wolf brand .22RF was rebranded SK (Lapua produced)…same bullet, powder, brass and even head stamp on the rim face. Current production of Wolf RF ammunition is manufactured by Eley; that may be the reason for the confusion. Eley and Lapua are direct competitors, so no: Eley Semi Auto Benchrest and SK Semi Auto are not the same….think Ford VS. Chevy.

I just watched your video with the 1022. ELEY semi auto vs SK semi auto. Your shooting low grade ammo, so your groups will be spread out. I have used ELEY match flat nose at 50yds, 5 shots in one hole, and 10 shots at 100 yds that a quarter would cover.
