First Shots Fired: Kimber K6s 4in

With my search capability this is the first recorded shots fired out of the new 2020 Kimber K6s Combat 4inch outside of shot show.

I have posted a few reviews on this channel of the K6s and the quality is very consistent and very good on all the ones I have handled. What interested me the most was using the feeler gauge to measure barrel to cylinder gap and finding to my amazement that all of them were .005. So what better way to test the effects of barrel length on velocity than with the same brand revolvers with equal quality.

Kimberk6s 2in Conceal Carry Hi 1084fps Low 1060fps Avg 1074fps — 6shots

Great video! So which one is your personal favorite?

  2. Great and tough question really putting me on the spot. For concealed carry along with Federal HST Micro 38 +P wadcutter my go to is the 2inch. Let me rank them according to my usage. Meaning my intent purpose is 60% concealed carry, 30% home defense 10% home defense it would mean in order

    Kimber 2inch
    Kimber 3inch
    Kimber 4inch

Though the Kimber 4inch is the funnest to shoot on the range.

    I hope that makes since.

I just ordered a Kimber K6S 4″ Combat and my fingers are crossed. I’ve come across a few online reports about issues with the brushed stainless finish being poorly done (swirl marks, scratches). Have you come across this problem?

  4. WOW — That would be a shock to me as every K6 I have handled has been awesome in finish. But every now and again I guess anyone cane produce a bad one.

I actually cancelled the order after reading several reports about firing pins breaking on the K6S. This planned revolver purchase is to mark a milestone, so I want to make the right choice. If you are so inclined, email me directly. I have a few questions.
