Winchester WWI Victory Series Ammunition

This year marked the 75th anniversary of WWII to honor those great service men and women who sacrificed everything Winchester Releases WWII-Themed Ammo in – .30-06, .30 carbine, .45 ACP and High Brass 12 gauge.

Period Correct Firearms — M1 Garand, M1903, M1911

Today I compare actual 30-06 ammo dated 1943 and Winchesters recently released Victory Series. Fired from the M1 Garand and M1903 across the chronograph. This ammunition being period correct is much better for the collector of military rifles. Specifically for the M1 Garand, adjustable gas blocks aren’t required with this ammunition.

Functional and Collectible

The cases are marked with period correct attributes, the 45 Auto is even marked M1911. I do love the red white and blue box display cases which would be at home on any fireplace mantel. The wooden boxes are embossed with unique historical facts and scenes. The specification for the 30-06 and 45ACP ammunition released in 2018 is

  • .30-06 Sprg. | 150 Grain | 2,740 FPS | X3006WW2
  • .45 ACP | 230 Grain | 855 FPS | X45WW2

30 Carbine and 12 Gauge Hi Brass will be introduced in 2019. All of this series is a limited edition run.

If you collect older firearms or ammunition from World War II, the WWII Victory Series ammunition is sure to meet your needs on the range or as a conversation piece.

Interesting. I’ve got an old bolt action 1903a3 in .30-06. I’ve only shot it a handful of times but wonder if this ammo would be better suited for it. I feel like I remember this ammo being set up last year at SHOT Show, with an M1 to put some rounds downrange. Thanks for the vid and reminding me about this.
